i see post talking about bio balls 10 gal 30 gal 20 gals. how do you measure bio balls ?

take an empty gallon jug, fill it with bioballs, count how much you put in it. that simple

^ that would be pretty hard to force the bio balls into a gallon jug or getting them out. get a five gallon bucket, home depot has them for a couple bucks, and measure it that way.

true, how about cutting the jug in half, then fill each halve?

There are lots of different types of bioballs - I have five different kinds. Each one will have a different number per gallon. If you know the brand and size you could probably find the #/gallon fairly easily online. Otherwise, get a one gallon container and figure it out.
