Bio Boost - Easy and Cheap

easy and cheap way to boost you biological filtration.

i filled a breeder net with matrix and put it under the outflow of my power filter. it should do the trick...

oh, the breeder nets are only about $2-$3 at any pet store and i have a million cheap little filters laying around that i collected for parts.

the only con (i can think of) is that it's ugly as hell, so i use this on grow out and non-display tanks.

Ceramic? That should be sintered glass, not ceramic.

I have extra in all my tanks in case I disperse any into other tanks not yet set up. I have plenty of tanks lying around, I like the option of being able to get one going in a jiffy if need be.

Good idea. I have been running extra filters for the time being till I set up my 90g, I should just use your idea and cut back on my power for the filters.

nothing, it's like cookie*420 said. i keep extra going in case i need it. plus the other power filters i have don't have a place for any bio media (the one in the pics happens to have some space inside, but my others don't).
