they look pretty awesome, has some serious bio potetial too. anybody have one? do they gunk up at all? what size tank is reccomended for them? price?

i remember seeing that some where on this site. I think it might of been neo posting it. It looks pretty insane. i've never even used cell pore. I can't find it anywhere.

the sell it on drfostersmith!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah but i don't wanna order off that site. Plus i'm not in the states. don't know if they'd ship internationally

Ok, 110% for the cool factor...BUT, I got problems with the spec's.

Unit is advertised for a 500gmax fish only, and reads like for S/W only (for that spec). And why lower gallonage (300) for a reef tank. Too Tired to figure that one.

1x - 2x turnover...do you have to have a second mechanical filter? (Doesn't look like there is any room in it for any).

Complete nitrification? At what time could they possibly measure that...In each pass? I'd buy one if they did that, 'caus ethat meant it already converted ALL the ammonia.

Anerobic bacteria in a flowing sump with a 20,000 sqft drip plate and 1000g of bio-balls (equiv), too much aeration to have enough anerobic bacteria to do anything worth while.

This is nothing against cell-pore I see it's uses.

And $120.00 for a 20g tank (sump)?

Did I mention I hate false or gimmicy advertising...:D

Oh...One other thing...It's discontinued. kentmarine.com doesn't even acknowledge it existed.(that I could find, drs.foster's link is dead)

Well, must have been some reason...

Why must the cool die young?

I do have a Bio-rocker, in fact the product (cell pore) is made about a mile from where I live. I have it running on a 200g tank, I'll admit some of what is advertised is gimmickery, for instance the max flow rate is 600gph the thing just can't take anymore then this. I do believe it is easily the most efficient bio media, although I really have no evidence other then very healthy fish to prove my point. The Biorocker is somewhat noisy it makes this continual whispping sounds as it rocks back and forth, but in truth it's kind of soothing. I also use cell pore on all my other tanks in place of emperor filter catridges....

all valid points, just as a seperate bio-filter on an existing tank would be awesome. i dont think theirs a single filter made that can remove ALL nitrates, and fit under a stand.........
