I have the oportunity to get two Rhoms at a very good price but they need to be picked up tomorrow. One is 6 inches and the other is 7". I have two tanks available to put them in but they are currently empty. One is a 90 and the other is a 75. I have the filters, heaters etc. to run them.

I can get Bio Spira locally. I've used it before with good success but not in such an urgent situation. I need to know if you guys think I can get these two tanks filled and heated today, get the fish tomorrow, and throw in Some Bio Spira if these fish will survive okay.

I also have access to other cycled filter media that will go in the new filters on these tanks.

Any suggestions?

I myself have never used the bio spira, but have heard good things. I would test your water daily for nitrites and ammonia, also have a good supply of Prime or Ammo lock on hand. You don't want ammonia to get above .25 ppm so at worse case you may have to do 50% water changes on a daily basis for each tank. Also will help to keep feeding down to a minimum for the first couple weeks.

I've used it like this many times and I've never lost a fish.

I know that the nitrate test does test funny (tests off the scale right away) but it has never been a problem.

Where ever you get the fish from, ask if you can have as much water they are currently in. Use this water to help the cycle, ideally they could even let you borrow the current filter for awhile until your bacteria gets established.
