Anybody had good experiences with this product? Anyone dislike it? Does it really work?

My story is I bought two 1 ounce packs for my tank, I tested my water a week ago and it was completely uncycled though it was suppose to be, my thought is that the amount of fish I added was too much for my current bacteria load to handle, so my ammonia went up to an 8.0ppm level and toxic it is, I think it killed off the bacteria colony. I did a 70% waterchange, its at a controlled level now, and I added biospira two days ago. Hopefully it does what it's suppose to do for the amount of money I paid.

So, what are your experiences with this products good or bad?

I have had great success with bio spira. Make sure that you keep fish, or some form of ammonia present with it, or the bacteria will die. The 8.0 ppm ammonia did not kill off your bacteria. Was this tank brand new, and you added several fish, or pre-established with several fish added?

Good success with biro spira when needed. Just make sure you get it from an lfs that moves alot of product and keeps it refrigerated.

I just used it to cycle my new 150...1 week later and everything looked great. I decided to give it another week before transferring my black aro and dats. They will be living in their new home as of this sunday!

I used it once per the advice offered from a few members here. I am convinced it absolutely cut cycle time down by at least a week (I didn't add it until I started having a problem in the tank). I would use it again if I had to.

i used it in my 20 gallon tank when i was having a ammonie problem and i tested it less than a week later and my tank was almost completely cycled

I had a ac50 on my 29 gal, transferred it over to my 50gal, and then I put in a 3.5 inch texas and jaguar cichlid, and a dwarf snakehead. The ac50 is suppose to be good for my 50 gal, but I know that it couldnt take the wasteload from my messy fish that well, so it was a temporary solution until I finally installed my eheim pro2 2128 themofilter canister. I had the tank up and running for about 3 months I would say, the canister came around sometime around the last month.

What you mistake for patience is actually my deep rooted fear of killing $600 worth of fish!! I actually got 2kg's of biohome which I will be adding to my FX5 and the 404 which will support the new tank. I should have PLENTY of bio filtration!
