whats so speacial about a bio wheel on a magnum filter.Im not saying its not a good idea im just wondering what does the bio wheel do.

Two tricks to keeping them spinning is to regularly clean the filter and the impeller assembly.
Both of these can cut down the water flow and when the water flow drops you end up without enough water running to spin the wheel.
