Hi, I think I have settled on my filtration scheme for my near future 300 gallon tank:

1) 3 exisiting eheim 2028 fill with total of 6 L eheim mech and 12L eheim strate pro
2) 1 exisiting sunsun filled with 2L of ceramic rings(mech) and 8L Azoo quartz balls
3) 1 new eheim 2262 and going to fill with 15L of eheim strate pro and 3L of mech

question: will 35L of bio material be sufficient for say 30 medium sized malawi peacocks and haps and 10-14 medium sized catfish(S. multipuntatus and medium sized(5-6 inch) plecos? Not adding the fish all at once of course...

thanks

Just go with 2 eheim 2262's and call it good, unless you can use a sump...

But holy crap, 5 canisters on one tank? Too much clutter with all those intake tubes for me.

The first 4 filters I already have...in essence for "free"...

basically they are the result of upgrading from 55-75-100 gallons then I bought the sunsun because my original plan was getting another 100, but that plan was vetoed by the wife...surprisingly, she was okay with just 1 bigger tank..hence the multiple filters.

I wouldn`t fret over the bio load to media question too much.
The bacteria will grow where they can, not just in the filters.
If it were me, I`d just run what you got.
Keep track of your water quality and adjust as needed, or, if needed.
