Hello. Just bought a new house and am using the fact that the wife wants a finished basement bar as an excuse to upgrade my 150 saltwater gallon to a 900 gallon tank. Because, well, ALL real bars have huge fish tanks right? 
Anyway, was thinking that a swimming pool cartridge filters and 86GPM pump with be great for mechanical filtration.
On the biological side I was thinking of having a pair of 6" x 72" clear PVC pipes arranged in a "U" configuration with bio balls in one side and a 5" diameter cylinder of foam rubber in the other. I have a diagram here http://www.vinny.org/900gallonfilter.jpg if it helps. Any thoughts or comments?
