Biological Surface area of Fluval FX5?

I'm curious if anyone knows where the thread went that spoke of this or if they know off of hand what the biological Surface area for a Fluval FX5 is?

I'm contemplating moving to or adding to my FX5's (5 of them) Red Sea Ocean Clears or Inland Seas Nu-Clears on my 6fters...

that would depend on the media. or are you talking about the actual surface area of the tubing, trays, and inside surfaces?

Probably just the Canister and media itself.

The mechanical area of the Foam inserts is 2,100 cm[SUP]2[/SUP] and the biological volume is 5.9 liters as noted in the user manual. The biological surface area will vary depending on the amount and brand of media used.
