i have two baby, only 4 inch, birchirs in with a tank with my convicts which i hope to breed...


will the poli's eat the eggs?

or is it just a matter of chance

right no i am feeping them freeze dried krill and frozen beefhearts

The polys will try to eat the eggs, yes. My Polys eat the eggs of the Angels in the same tank, everytime they lay eggs. But the bigger worry is what will breeding Convicts do to your Polys?? *HINT* They won't be nice.

Breeding cichlids have no business being kept with other fish period.

thats the best thing you could do polys eat anything that fits in their mouth, and ciclids are agresive fish, anything coud happen

I have a small pair of breeding convicts that protected their eggs and fry from a small turtle. The bichirs would get torn up.

Yes Bichirs DONOT fight back very well- or often.
