Birchirs and lungfish

new here. great group! had a quick question not sure if this is the right place to post it. i git this wild caught bichir about a month ago only took shrimp from me 1 time havent seen him eat since was wondering if he looks healthy to you guys. i have him in a pond outside in so. cal with a rtc, rtc hybrid, 3 koi and a tiger oscar. all eat and are really healthy just kinda worried about this guy.

No obvious probs from the pics. Did u quarantine the fish when u got it? Or treat with medications? What are the temps of the pond? Only feeding shrimp? Might be getting our competed for food. Maybe target feed to make sure it’s getting some food.
 
It's been done before by a few people but highly not recommended for the general.

A marbled would be a bad idea cause of the max size and aggressive behavior, but do you think a South American or gilled African is also a bad idea?

I think a South American would be fine. The only other lungfish I would keep with Birchirs would be an AUL.

the temp usually stays between 72-75 in winter. i have heaters in it. i only quarantined for about a week. no i offer tilapia, worms, shrimp, sinking and floating pellets and theres always mosquito fish in there .all the other fish are target trained. he only took food from tongs once.
