One of the histrix`s i own gave birth to a pup 5 days ago. She still have pups inside her, and for the last two days she have barely moved at all. I can see that she sometimes lay there while she pushes, but thats all. She do not eat anything. At this point i am very concerned about this, i am actually beginning to fear for her life to be honest.

Any toughts?

I would agree, that doesn't sound good. Are the pups inside her still moving? I'm not sure there is much you can do except let Mother Nature take her course.

No movement, no nothing. Gona spend more time observing her tonight hoping to see signs of life, but i think it`s over and out. It is hurtful to watch her in this state, it is depressing and it makes me angry.

At least her one and only pup (so far....) ate her first nightcrawler today.

Man good luck.... i had my p14 get to full term and had trouble birthing baby died and mother did as well. I stopped seeing movement about a week before.
Hope you have better news soon!!! Is mom breathing heavy or eating?

Glad the pup is eating.
Don't be angry, it's not your fault.

"Is mom breathing heavy or eating?"

She is not eating anything. Now and then she "blows herself up" (focusing her energy) while taking very deep breaths, then she pushes all she got. Other than that she breathes normally.

There is some white/clear slimy material that comes out of her, guess thats pretty normal anyway. Watching her makes me very desperate to do something, even tho i have no idea what that would be. I will just have to sit tight with my fingers crossed.

Thanks.
