"Birth mark" or bad news?

Well I have noticed this for a while now on my retic. It looks like a birth mark almost on the under side of his disc around the edges. On the top of his disc in the same spots it just looks a little faded. It doesn't seem like it is rotting or curling or anything. I think I have seen it on other rays so was just wondering what it was and if it is normal?

more than likely normal.. however your substrate does not look ideal for your ray. I personally would recommend changing it

It is pretty smooth but the only reason I haven't changed it is because I don't see any redness at all on my retic and he has been in there for a good 2 months now.

My male has a big "mole" on his belly, I love it....hes got character

My male motoro has a couple "moles" on him, love it...totally normal.

My motoro is even darker around the edges underneath than urs and also has I think 3 "moles" on the belly. I love it.
