Biscuit joining

Anyone used biscuit joining when assembling a tank? John

I have never read about anyone using them on here when building a plywood tank. If you are going to use thm in addition to the edges being glued and screwd I thinks it a great idea. If you think you can leave out the glue or screws and use these instead I am not sure I would do that.

No, it would be in addition to glue and screws.

What about finger joining the plywood together

you mean dovetailing? You can realistically probably get away with biscuit joiners, glue and tacks from a brad nailer.

that is if you're using solid woods and not ply.

I think that and glue would work by itself, but I'm just guessing on that. Glue, biscuits and brads w/o screws.....not in my house. Brads have no true holding power by themselves, I think you need the screw to keep the sides from blowing out.

agreed you need screws. screw and glue baby screw and glue.
