Hey guys I just wanted to pass along the importance of washing after dealing with your reptile. I was at the clinic today treating a secondary tissue infection to my thumb after getting a claw stuck on my thumb very swiftly by one of my peachies, this was two weeks ago and the secondary infection became an issue after the wound had sealed and it was cleansed with peroxide and neosporin, im not 100% sure this was the cause but thought id pass this along as it could be a reason for someone down the line.

Ouch Alex, yea if the wound heals and traps the infection in it can lead to bigger issues. Just like the false thought that when earrings get infected people believe that you should take out the earring, which just traps the infection in.

When I first got into iguanas, scraches and bites got very soar, inflamed and took a lot of time to heal:irked: Now scraches and bites heal in just a few days:D
