Today was supposed to be a banner day for my cichla collection, but it was a rough 1 too. I lost 1 of my new wild caught spangled ocellaris. And I had 2 wild caught pinima pbass and 1 wild caught orino coming in from Jeff Rapps. Well after the first death I pinned all my hopes for salvaging my day on UPS. The shipment arrived around 2:30pm, 1 of pinima DOA. I dripped the others and when I left for work they were alive. So now I'm at work kinda bummed and kinda excited.

sorry for your loss dude! at least you have the new cichla waiting for you when you get home :)

Very true it just sux to loose a new fish, but even more 1 that you've been trying to save. The worse part was loosing both in 1 day.
 
sorry about your losses.. yes it is sad to lose fish..and especially to know it was the shipping that did them in ...then you have to go through getting your money back and proving it etc.. but i am happy that these two made it... and looking forward to seeing them.

Thank Liz. I'll try to get some good pics tonight and post them tomorrow. I'm at work and still feeling kinda funky right now. I got the fish from Rapps so hopefully it won't be so difficult to arrange for a replacement. Just waiting on a response to my email to him.

Yeah, he came in with the gill damage. Not sure if that contributed to his demise. Atleast I still have 2 left.

I only had him 1.5 weeks. Do you think the gill damage had anything to do with his death?
