black acrylic bottom for a glass tank?

I have a acylic tank from tenecor that has a black bottom. I love it!

I also have a glass tank, i want the bottom to look like my BB acrylic tank. I have tried tiling it and it looks pretty good but not like the BLACK acrylic tank does. Is there a easy way to get black acrylic to cut and lay it on the bottom of the tank for a clean bare bottom look?
 
Have you considered painting the outside bottom of the tank with black paint? I think that would give you the effect you're looking for, and would be less work than cutting black acrylic and fitting it in.

YES i have considered doing this. Wish i would have done it BEFORE it was set up. The thing is i would have to completely empty the tank to do this. There are braces under the stand & i have a sump under the tank. The sump has made water spots on the glass on the bottom side of the tank, otherwise i would try to do it where it is sitting.
 
Oh, I see. Well I think if you go with the black acrylic sheet on the inside, you'd have to silicone it down to prevent water getting underneath it and stagnating. So either way I think you'd have to empty the tank to do this. JMO
 
buy a piece 1/8" black acrylic and lay it down with some silicone.

call around some local plastic/acrylic shops. they will cut the size u want it.

So they are loose on the bottom right? Hows the maintenance on them... every water change you pick them up?
