Hello, i have a silver aro thats currently 6 inches, im planning to buy a black arowana which is almost the same size, but a little smaller. Do silver and black aros get along? Will this work?

they shoud , if you have good size tank it sgoud be fine .i woud get them nog so they can grow up together.

only if your tank is suffiecient greetings

ow and feed regurly

It may or may not work out, it's the luck of the draw really. When I tried it did not work. If you do attempt make sure you have some way to seperate the fish if need be(divider or another tank).

Also the average growth rate of a silver aro is twice as fast as a black aro, so they will not be the same size as they grow.

what it really comes down to is the behavior and personality of the indivisual fish. they may look each other in the eye and be best friends for life. or look eachother in the eye and immediatley attack.
or they could notice you left the lid open pair off, and attack you!!!!!!!!!:grinno:

aquastar in chinatown has two 12" black aro's. One of them is PERFECCCTLY gorgeous. Perfect scales and fins. The other one has something wrong with its scales I dunno. I wanted to rescue it but I don't have enough tank space right now. The perfect black is $250 the other one is $200

they worked for me...
