black and silver arro

Thinking about raising a Black and Silver arrowana together starting at about 5 inches. Has anyone has sucsess at this or eventually will one kill the other? I think the silver gets larger also any truth to this. Anyone with the two living together?

yup. actually i have 2 black aro's and 1 silver aro all in a 150g. the blacks are about 8" and 9" and the silver is about 8". they get along just fine. not saying that everyone will be successful, but just sharing that this setup does work. good luck

Always great to see shot so fht arowanas. Jsut something about them and RTC's that I always enjoy seeing them.

of course it works. it will work even better if you put more aros in the com. But silvers grow at about the double rate of blacks, so you have to constantly be watchfull.

If you can only have 2 aros, throw in a couple of fast dithers, such as silver dollars, for instance..

i haven't seen a growth spurt from the silver yet. my 12" black eats like a pig and has grown a bit since i first got it. my second black seems to have grown a bit also. the silver is taking a while to grow but they all eat like pigs. so far so good...
