Black aro export question

I actually have 2 questions for the experts out there. I can't really find much info on exportation of the black aro. Google just gives worthless results. From the little that I've found, blacks were banned from export maybe 5 years ago? One site claims the only aros that get through are the older ones that can be passed by as silvers. Is there any truth to that? What is the future of black aros in the US. Also, I notice some blacks have orange aroudn the fins, mine does not. Any input? THanks

I was told by couple vendors that they are being breed in Asia, so that could be one of the sources.

maybe if you could post pictures of your arowana we can confirm if it is a black or just a silver arowana.

It's like any fish on the Brazil ban list (best examples are Pseudas and Hypans)-- there are no laws banning the IMPORT of these fish, but they are not legal to be exported out of Brazil. They are, however, not banned for export by neighbouring countries like Peru and Colombia.

There is a point when juvi blacks have very little to no orange, yellow or red coloration in their fins.
