Was wondering what would be the best ideal light that I can get from a LFS for a black arowana to bring out its color the best? He is about 10"

OK let's simplify this.
A higher kelvin rated bulb will put off white/blue spectrums. A lower kelvin rated bulb will give off yellow/red spectrums. I prefer 10k bulbs as they are easily attainable without pet store prices. I refuse to pay $25 for a bulb unless it feeds my fish and cleans my tanks to!!!!!

T8 bulb? i kinda forgot how a 10k bulb looks like...are those the really blue lights/actinic? or like a daylight/cool color
