My aro is slowly developing these spots on its scales any Ideas? For what ever it's worth only one aro has it and all the other fish and rays are fine.

thanks for looking.

hmmm looks serious, though i never seen this on my aros. Fighting?

keep an eye on it see if anymore develope over the next couple of days. I have not used meds in years so I am not even sure what is out there.

My black has the same marks they go away, and come back. Mine is a little under a foot ,the only thing I have been able to come up with is that it is bruising or a minor injury. I noticed the marks appear after he gets really spooked (if I walk anywhere near the tank before the lights come on and I cast a shadow he freaks) it is after one of these episodes I notice the marks. Not sure this is the actual cause but he seems to be in excellent condition other than the periodic appearance of those marks. I am looking forward to hear what more experienced aro keepers have to say.

I'm hoping they're just bumps and bruises. I rehomed a pbass that was picking on him. My two aro's don't fight other than an ocassional nip. It just seems like they are taking awhile to heal.
