So yesterday I woke up to my black arowana which is about 18" or so with a suction cup in it mouth trying to eat it. I managed to get him to spit it out but, now is having problems with eating. Jaws look fine, fish seems sluggish but, no abnormal breathing. Leading up to this his appetite was normal as well. After removing the suction I did a 50% wc and, add some aquarium salt. Should I be worried. Help plz.

Give it a few days before you start to worry. How did you get him to give up the suction cup?

might just be stressed from the removing of the suction cup.

Probably not the best but, got him netted and, just lowered the jaw slightly with a second net and, he did the rest.

So removing the suction cup was a bit of a traumatic experiencce for it. Just give it a few days to start feeling secure again.

He's eating again not as aggressive but, eating none the less
