I just added a black arowana into my 300 gal tank 4 days ago, I have the temp at 83 degrees, the ph levels is at 7.4 and ammonia is 0, (basically everything is good)

i even have used kettapang leaves to help keep the water soft. I have a bubble wall going which he doesnt seem to mind, he swims at mid level and up again (im going to assume thats okay), however he's tightlipped, I've offered him pellets, Shrimp (market and freezedried), crickets (bleh) and even a minnow.. Nothing he wont eat.. he's about 17 inches and being a brat..lol

How can I entice my Draco to eat.. anyone?

Lol i feel like a first time mom, making sure its all perfect for him and such.

it took mine about 10 days after getting it home to even eat crickets, then when i moved it to a bigger tank it went about 2 weeks without eating so just give it some more time. aros can go for a while without eating

ah okay thank you for the feedback,

^lol Yeah i;ll give him time Draco is pretty calm for an aro to me anyway he seems curious about everything

i never had problems of getting fish to eat - even pellets (but the fish must be small).

my advice is start on pellets .... good for them if they start eating them + easier to remove uneaten stuff.

PS: i only have problems getting old fish to eat pellets
