black aro

hey all,

i have a silver arowana and want also a black aro
is this a good combination ? they told that aro's are solitair
and only in groups with 3 or more ???

my english is not so good but thanks anyway

Not a good idea to mix the 2. Chances are that one will kill the other. If you have a tank large enough for a big group you might be able to get away with that.

Hello,

I have a 18" silver and two black( 10" and 11" ) in a 150 gallon. At the beginnig the silver tried to bite the blacks and so I putted a divider for 1 week and now everything is going all right!!! I just really take care on feeding time : I always hand-feed the silver on one side and then I hand-feed the two blacks on the other side ( every day at 7:30 am and 8:00 pm) and no more troubles...

its a long shot, but can be done. i plan to add a black in the future to my current aro comm. i've had pair of silvers together for over a year. never noticed anything crazy. for about 2 weeks out of the year tho they started nippin a bit, i split them up for a few days and they haven't done anything since.
