the lfs had a 10-12'' Black Arowana for $160. i wanted it soooo bad...
whats the normal price range?

sounds like a good price. an lfs in my area was selling one that was smaller for $200+

I would take it for that price. At 10-12" already, they normally go for $250.

At 10-12"? Cheapest ive seen in toronto at that size was Around $150 at Lucky. $50 is probably for a 3-4" one, which I havent seen around here in a while.

That price was a while ago, so maybe they went up in value. Last time i saw one for $100 was at lucky's which was like maybe a few months to a year ago. Havent really payed attention to blacks as they look like silvers to me. $50 was at aquapets also a while back when they first openned, but I went 2 days ago and everything they have is like half dead. And its more of a fish hotel than a fish store. Prices were for 8"-10".

Aquapets didnt have any blacks? They got a batch a couple months ago in the 200-250 range. But yes I agree, they look just like silvers. Id never buy one.
