Black Arowana and PH level

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Considering they come from the amazon region, the pH would be neutral to acidic. Personally I keep my aros in such. As many have suggested they can adapt and usually the safest practice would be just to match the tanks pH to that of your tap water.

i do know that they will adapted to a higher PH in a small increasment over times. But what's the upper limit for them without stressing or discomfort? reason for me wanted a little higher PH due to the colony of moba are housing in the same tank... currently i'm adding a handfull of crushed coral in the sump to get the ph higher. would like to get around 8 to 8.4 if the aro are ok with that. Right now PH is at 7.8.
