I just moved all of my fish to a new house. There were no casualties and no major issues. Two days later my 10" Black Arowana has one good, straight dark barbel and the other one is now curling upwards and almost entirely white. It looks like it's shriveled and about to fall off.

I've never had an Aro lose a barbel before or have a sickly one. Do they grow back? Do I need to do anything specific besides keep up on good water changes?

Thanks for any input.

Fungal infection. Seen it happen before. As long as it doesn't get any worse you can just treat with salt and a bump in temp.

Yes, they do grow back.

my larger silver ate 2/3 of one barbble and it showed no sighn of regrowth for the last few months i had it...idk if it regrew or not as the buyer hasn't returned my pm about how it is doing...

From what I've experience black aros do not regenerate barbels as well as other aros. It will grow back but much smaller then it was. I had the same happen with my larger black when it was younger.
