They don't loose them without cause. With cause ( injury, agression...) all aro breeds may lose them.

Some regrow, some don't.

NOT TRUE, only way it looses its barbel its due to fighting or just from decor in the tank.

No its from being kept in small tanks where they are constantly brushing up against the glass which breaks/wears them down.

not all black aros lose their barbels the problem is they dont grow back as well as some other types of aro if broken
