How long did your black arowana take to grow at about 2 feet or 2.5feet ? Because I have got one last january at 7 inches and it is a very slow grower now it is around 13 inches. The silvers I had before use to grow much bigger by that time. So I need feed back please is it my black ? or blacks grow slow ?

I have on black that went from baby to 27" in just over two years had another that grew slow, from 11 to 26-27" in four years.
IMO yours was a runt of the litter. I don't believe anyone is offering baby blacks any time of the year except spring whether the argument for captive bread or wild collected applies is irrelevant. So only being 7" at 9-10 months either means it's stunted or a runt.
Just don't worry about it as it is growing. Feed it a healthy diet with lots of water changes and enjoy your black.

Mine grew from 7 to 13 inches in 10 months, but is seems like they don`t grow all at the same speed like silvers doo!
That is very very slow :-( I feed my black hikari palets it seems to like it a lot
