Here.
Hello fellow arowana brethren,

I took out my 4-5" blk aro from the 240G show tank and put him in a 10G for treatment of fin rot. I am using Binox and it seems to be working great.

However, is there any precautions I should take for my 240G show tank? Current occupants of the main tank are only Motoro stingrays. I have a 18W UV Sterilizer currently hooked up to a Fluval 405.

I don't want any lingering pathogens in my water that will "re-initiate" the fungal/bacterial infections.

Thanks everyone!

Best,
Jeff

I don't see how that is possible. My bioload is minimal and I do 50% weekly WC. I am pretty perplexed.

Do you only have a fluval 405 on your 240g? That could be a huge problem. Anyway waterchanges and either aquarium salt or I've used melafix and pimafix mixed together it won't kill your biological filtration

Hehe. No not just a dinky 405 on a 240G. 30G Wet/Dry and a FX5 too :D

you have motoro stingrayS. Multiple. Even on my 180 pup tank with only 3 as of now, Im doing daily 40% changes. They mess up water REALLY fast.

I'll up it to 50% WC twice a week. I mean damn.... 40% a day.... which works out to 90G x 7 = 630G a week. I guess its worth it! :D

My water/elec bill has went up $125 a month since I got my 450g. I'm interested to see what happens when there's a 1000g pond outside too.
