Hi there I have a 50 gal grow out tank 36x18x20 I heard black aros grow slower and I really love aros so I was wondering how long could the aro live in there starting at like a 2 to 4 in fish how long could he live in there and where can I buy one under 100$

Not sure on your info source but black aro do not grow slow. Mine reached 26" in 20 months and was 16" at one year old. Starting with a baby, you'll see maybe 8 months .

Black aro are seasonal for the most part. So no babies until late Feb at the earliest.

Aros especially black ones growth rate is heavily dependant upon clean water, food quality and adequate tank space. They are slow growers if not cared for optimally. Brian is correct you can beef up a black at an impressive rate if cared for correctly.

My three black Arowana grew fast the first two years. They have slowed down a lot now but are still impressive at 25-28" and just over 3 years old.

Yeah. Very fast growing. Juvenile color makes it my favorite baby monster fish. Just wish they'd stay that color.
