The width is great but a black aro would do much better with more length.

So will 5 feet be enought? This is gonna be a ray tank so I can't get a aggresive one.

You could do the black aro. Keep in mind though he will be happier in a longer tank. The depth is awesome though. Generally the minimum tank size is at least 2 times the length and 1 times the depth compared to the length of the fish.

ya i your sayin IF i had another foot it would be better. well i think in a couple months i will get one maby a 4-6 inches. prob around july since june my tank will be pretty much stocked. i will have him or her be one of the last fish in the tank

i was thinking about this for a stocking list let me know what you think.
2 teacup hystrix M/F
2 widebar datinoids
1 black arowana
1 fire eel
1 black ghost knife
1 tire track eel
4-6 clown loaches
mabye a couple small things but for the most part that is what i want. think it will be ok???

its an amazing tank you have there. would look much better if the tank is longer but should be enough for the black aro. :)

K thanks :clap :clap :clap

this tank should be fine for your black aro but imo with your list of tankmates you should watch out on your aquarium bioload so better get the best filtration system to get the job done.
