i have sprayed befor. but i have a 125 in my bedroom. i now want the back black. n i dnt want over spray. what type of roller do i use to paint it. the tank will b standing up do to the fact it is full with water n fish.

The roller isn't too important as long as you do lots of thin coats with drying time in between. I did mine with a brush. It looked horrible for the first few coats, but after 4 or 5 it looks perfect from the front.

You can check your work by setting up a light behind the tank and then looking at it from the front. Light will shine through any spots that you've missed!

Yeah... don't worry about it at all. You'll only see abnormalities on the exposed side of the paint... thru the glass will be solid no matter what.

get some latex paint and a roller brush thing. Apply a thin coat, wait 15 minutes, and repeat until the layer is thick enough. If you try to apply a thick coat in one go it will actually make it thinner because the paint doesn't stick to the glass very well until partially dry; if you roll over the existing layer before it is dry, the roller will pick up the paint instead of applying it, and if you try and avoid that by using more pressure, the roller won't spin and you will screw up the layer.

In short, apply a thin layer and don't go back over paint you have just applied until it has had time to dry.

Latex paint will start to peel when it gets in contact with water. Have you thought of using a vinyl decal cut to your proportions? Or maybe limo tint? Sounds kinda ghetto, but it would be better than endangering your fish with Krylon spray paint.

That's why you paint the OUTSIDE of the tank. There's no danger to the fish, it will look much better and it wont peel.
