Black Beauty

I saw this at a blasting company the other day. It has the feel of sand but it is some slag product. Has anyone used this in their aquarium?

I see this 'black beauty' substrate for sale at my LFS... i think it's the same stuff your talking about. sand blast schillings, sediments or something like that?? It's okay to use with cichlids and such, but I wouldn't use it with rays or catfish... but that's just me tho.
