Black Belt Cichlid Aggression?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I think if they were the small ones in the tank you should be good. But from what I have seen BB can be a little nasty at times. Especially big ones. They are great looking fish when they are big though.

they r all abt 3-4 inches right now...was thinking they may be ok but had tried 2 oscars & the blood parrots with a red devil & the oscars were dead by morning :(...the RD now has his own tank ;)

RDs... those mean suckers. Yeah, I would say if your BB are smaller than the Os you should be good. But when they get big you will have to seperate them probably. A 10" BB is one tough customer... and he likes the store to himself, if you know what I mean.

the RD was too gorgeous to get rid of but I seriously thought abt it once I found what was left of the oscars

I think I'll hold off on the BBs...Would hate to get them then end up having probs & nowhere large enough to move them to

wow i LOVE your lipstick RD. u wanna get rid of him/her? :D

thank you!! my daughter is too attached to the thing to part with him...I love the fish too, it is just frustrating that he muct be kept alone ~ he has been pretty tolerant of the pleco so far, though :)

Good call on the BB. The bigger mine gets, the bigger his 'tude gets! He's at about 4" and is starting to nip at the jag, FH, and Salvinis.
