Ive done some research and found a few websites that states a minimum tank size for a single Black Belt is 55g while others say 75g. Which is correct? Also, a 5-6inch BB for $20 is a good deal or would I be getting rip off?
well I went and bought it..its in my 30gallon right now..in about 3weeks when I get my 2 55G the BB is going to go into one of them..man it is a beauty!..the LFS actually gave it to me for 15 instead of 20 because I always buy live brine shrimp from them ..i'll post pictures up soon..
Congrats on the pick up! On the regard as to what the minimum tank size should be...you have to consider the size of the fish. Will it be able to turn around without hittin the sides? If it can't you need to upgrade. You could have your own special tank made for you, then it would be better. Like i am gettin a 90gal tank that is 48" x 24" x 18"...haha. Main thing is width.
Key thing is to ALWAYS shoot for larger than you need. Keepin the fish in the minimum tank size possible isn't going to allow you to appreciate the true beauty of the fish as it will be cramped and not as happy. Just my two cents...!
