Black Belt's Anus is hanging out

lol, I don't know how to describe it better than that. His ass is hanging out.. I didn some research and hear that it may be a prolapsed rectum? Anyone have any pics of that I can compare too?

Also, his behavior has been a lil peculiar, he used to swim up to the top for freeze dried shrimp.. but he hasn't ate in 3 weeks..

I don't wanna lose him.. Quartineing in another tank isn't an option.. What can I do??

If the prolapse is not to severe you can (using wet surgical gloves) catcth the fish an gently use your finger to push the rectum back into place, you may have to repeat this a few times. As to why the fish isn't eating, a rectal prolapse, at least in people often causes symptoms of feeling full as it causes a partial intestinal blockage. I reccomend that if the fish does start to eat you do not use freeze dried food or pellets for a while, soft, meaty foods such as earthworms will be prefered.
