Hey guys! I'm currently in the process of setting up a 30 gallon tank for a group of rainbow and orangethroat darters. I've decided to opt for some river slate, driftwood, basic mosses, and black sand. My question is, would Black Diamond Blasting Sand be appropriate? I've heard mixed opinions on the subject, as it is apparently rough for bottom dwelling species. Darters (to my VERY limited knowledge :p) don't dig, but merely sit on the bottom. With this in mind, would the blast sand be a viable option? If not, are there any other recommendations? Thanks for the help!

interested in this as well as i was thinking about switching my tank to this.

I wouldn't see an issue. My darter tank is pool filter sand which is a little rough and river gravel/sand collected locally. They seem fine to me.
