Black blasting sand

I'm thinking about using black blasting sand for my tank, it's 6.99 for a 50 pound bag at menards. What do you guys thonk?

I use it and love it. Didn't make my tank cloudy at all (I did wash it for a long time in warm water). I used the brand "Black Diamond".

Does the brand matter the one I'm looking at is magnum do you think it matters

I use black diamond also. No regrets. It didn't really cloud my tanks. I used it on three tanks only one had an issue. There was some oily residue on top of the water. A film of some sort. I'm hoping it goes completely away w proper wc's and time. No ill affects for my fish. I have bottom dwellers also. Two Raphs a syno and common plec. Everyone's fine.
