I saw an Endlicheri (i think) at an LFS a few days ago, sorry i have not been able to take pictures because im in a hurry, its color is almost black, its around 5-6 inches long, but the thing is, it has no eyes.. can you please enlighten me about this fish guys, I just lost my senegal bichir.. its almost 10 years old so im really looking for another bichir..thanks guys!

Is it on black sand/gravel that would make its colors very dark alms or black/dark grey..... Pics would help a lot..... And if it has no eyes it will be ok as they rely mostly on smell ..... Just don't put anything sharp or jagged it can run into lol

no, it has no substrate, and its has regular endlis in it. it has no eyes its like it only has an eye socket nut no eyes and its really black, il buy it if it is stil there

It is black because of being blind. They tried to adapt to their environment and when your environment is all black you try and become all black. It could possibly also just be a melanistic endli, however I think that it being black because of it's blindness it the main reason. Either way I would get it. It seems like a very unique endli that is worth the money to me.

really??!! I hope they wont notice it for a few days although my workplace is near that place i usually go home late and they close at around 6pm. Im thinking of getting it tomorrow

Good luck! Post pictures if you get it. I would definitely like to check it out. I think frank used to have a black endli. Saw a post for it in the classifieds.

The black farahna endli is still with me & it has PERFECTLY good eyes (freak of nature)..... 20/20 according to the doc.....haha...... I did have a black congi for sale a while back.......

Mr. B is correct....... it's black/dark coloration is due to its blindness......
