Yes there are a few members here with that combonation. It will not always work though, there have been many failed attempts, including one myself.

will they both thrive in a 300-380 gallon tank with 3 pbass one catfish and a pike cichlid?

they should be ok. are they about the same size as each other? i have 2 black aros and a silver in a 150 and they are doing just fine.

Its really a matter of experimenting, i think most of the time your able to put them together as long as there is a third predator in the tank that dominate the tank.

:iagree: It is just a matter of trial and error. I have my black and silver together and they did fight at first but over time they got along fine with just a little pick here and there at each other's fins.

i havent got them yet but i used to have a very colorful silver aro but my evil soft shell turtle wich i dont have any more killed and ate him i miss that aro but i will be getting them around the same size also there is a possibility they will be in a 440 gal instead of the 300-380 gal i havent decided wich size tank to get but they will be with the 3pbass,rtc,pike cichlid and possibly 2 large(14-15") red tailed barracuda falactus or red tailed tats

Punctuation would be a plus!
