black bumps - parasite?

hi guys,
i got my retics 2-3 weeks ago, and all has been well.
yesterday i noticed the male has little black bumps just above and behind the vent on the side of his head. i was concerned but thought, let's wait for tomorrow.
today i noticed that the bumps have seemed to spread and now he has a few on his disc (same side as the other bumps).
should i be concerned? is this a parasite? my ammonia is 0, nitrates are 30, nitrites are 0.
any ideas?

However, it is common for rays to develop growth mark bumps.

k, i will try to take pics, but i'm terrible with it, so hopefully i can get at least 1 in focus.

he's still eating like a champ and very active so it could very well be growth bumps.

will take some once i get back home.

If you only see them as bumps, then they're just growth spots. Parasites or fish lice actually look like a small insect and move around the fish.
