The fry hatched yesterday and I have around 100 fry in the tank now. I took about 50 out of the tank and put in a gold fish bowl using the same water. I thought the fry would get eaten.

I left crushed flake food for the ones in the goldfish bowl and dropped a couple of algae discs for the ones in the tank (the adult convicts always make a mess, so I'm guessing the fry will clean up after them)

Any tips as to how to care for them?

Are they going to be feeders or what?

they are usually good parents but if its a community fry may be eaten
after 1 month you know your safe
until then the parents could eat them at any time

Not sure if I should make them feeders. I'm still debating whether to take them out or not.

Here are some pics.

they will take care of them for a while. 2 weeks is pushing it. but it just depends on your individual pair. however if you take most out, or change the decor (taking out a clay pot they spawned in) or remove one of the parents or anything like that that will likely cause them to eat them.

is anyone concerned for the 50 fry in the fish bowl? Sure they're hardy, but are u regulating the temps? I guess they could eat finely grounded flakes but bbs would have better results. Oh, also use a sponge filter for fry it'll create rotifers and infusioria for the fry to feed on.
