Does anyone know anything about these cats. Im not much for catfish but after I saw a pic of one of these I really want one. How big do they get? Whats size tank and type of water would a single specimen need? Will they eat normal sinking food or do they need special food? Thanks in advance for anyhelp.

hiya mate yes they would require an aquarium of around 8x4 footprint height is unimportant. this is a very aggresive fish and will attack heaters, intakes for filters, air stones and your hand if it enters the aquarium. you will need a large sump with an equally large bio section to deal with the copius amounts of waste that this devil will produce. they are very intertaining and have much character. you wont be able to have any tankmates but you know that already and you wont need any with such an entertaining pet. aim for around a 400gal for life although a 6x2x2 will do till its around 20" keep in mind the fishes wiskers and its hunting habits they like to slam into pray at times so a wide aquarium is a must. i would avoid decor as this is just redecorated the way the cat wants it. i cant stress enough about the tankmates when u have such a large tank and the reletively small cat u will want some but mine took chunks out of a 32" aro when he was just 14" eventually killing it.
