Black diamond

Ok i know this blasting sand has been talked to death lol. I understand its fish safe and plants seem to love it, but im curious if anyone is using this with catfish, plecos, eels, ect(bottom dwellers). I have an E-cat and would also like to eventualy have rays( in a different tank obviously) so if anyone is using BLACK DIAMOND BLASTING MEDIA any info would be great. Thanx

I have a pleco with blacksand and I'm pretty sure I've heard people mention rays with black diamond. you just have to determine which grit to acquire.
 
I use it in my cory and clown loach tank. No issues at all. My TSN also spent some time on it before I upgraded his housing. I really like it.

Also has anybody tried putting this sand in while fish are in the tank?

I have the really fine stuff in a tank and the fish stir it up and it ends up on top of plants and rocks and even in my HOB filter but the coarse stuff has been fine

+1 and I had some end up in my canister. I don't think I'd try adding it while your fish was still in the tank. Just my opinion tho.
