black feeder goldfish had white stuff on it and was deteriorating????

I thought it was ick so i took it out and immediatly flushed it down the toilet.

What you saw was just the externalized portion of the infection. I'd wager a years pay that the entire batch of feeders is suffering from the infection also. I'd flush all the feeders and turn the entire tank into a hospital tank and treat every fish now.

Definitely sounds like a bad batch. Ditch them. Remember to inspect a feeder tank before you buy. I just use convicts, much less chance of infection.

ya i have convicts too, but there in a 10g right now and to small to breed
