I have a BGKF (around 12 inches) and it often nips/bites my Silver Bala Shark's tail (now shredded to pieces) whenever they come into close contact - normal?
Also, it seems as though my BGKF is having problems with it's tail itself: it has started to develop red spots on the end - problem, or irrelevant?

Thanks

bgk are somewhat territorial, maybe your shark is entering the bgk's domain that's why he keeps on nipping on it's tail.

some pics would be good about the red spots. Also, sometimes when its cramped, the BGK will get more rough.

that's odd. Maybe you just have a very aggressive BGK!

I have never known them to tail nip. Mine is safe even with gouramis. He will eat neon tetras though.

it depends on the personality of the fish. maybe he's into hardcore fishes like sengegal bichirs etc.
