Black ghost knife on floating pellets?

No sinking pellets are sold around my area and I dont want to just feed my black ghost knife purely bloodworms. Can it be done?
 
I don't see why not. Floating just has more air in it AFAIK. The only problem is if he'll find them. They normally only eat from the bottom of the tank; mine only started eating from the surface since I moved his hiding spot close to the surface.

Also, if he's been spoiled on bloodworms like mine was, you may find that he'll reject the pellets at first.
 
My African knives will eat off of the surface. A BGK should too, maybe get it out with a bit of bloodworm and maybe it'll take the surface pellets after
