I just bought a black ghost knife . I put him in my 30 gallon cichlid tank ,i have ,a blue and yellow labidocromis , no one picks on him but... my main question is , whats the best thing to feed him and should i add salt to the water frequently?? He seems to stay to the to all the time and go behind the hang on filters i dont know why, there are plenty of hiding spots specifically made for him.. soo i dont know why hes not going to the bottom. also is alot of oxgen necessary for him, i have two filters on full flow on the tank and thats it no air pumps ..

Congratulations on your new Ghost. I have had a Ghost before and they tend to be very shy. I question your tank with the Cichlids? There may be too much activity for him. As far as food, Brime, Ghost Shrimp and pellets should do him fine. Good Water Quality is a must. Thats how I lost mine, a week on business and I came back home with a little too much ammonia in the water. Good Luck though with him and watch the other fish if they pick on him.:)

I forgot about Blood Worms, Good Idea. :grinyes:

They also LOVE krill! Get some fake plants they love to hide in them, place the plant in the center of the tank and he will love it and so will you. Here is a pic of mine. WHERE'S Waldo?????

Your Welcome Blair, Anytime. TankBuster, I never used krill for any of my Freshwater fishes. I should try it though with my little community tank I got for my sister. Thanks.:grinyes:
